Ariel Waldman is the author of a guidebook on Democratized Science Instrumentation, developed for Obama’s White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP). The guidebook documents hardware and software that significantly increase people’s opportunity to participate in scientific discovery. The project was commissioned by the Science and Technology Policy Institute (STPI) and presented to the White House OSTP in 2012.
